The Canadian Olympic Committee went into the Sochi Olympics with something to prove: that Canadians own winter, as part of their identity. The We are Winter campaign, 16 months in the making, adds up to what the COC calls the “largest brand undertaking in its history.” Beyond promoting the athletes who will carry the Maple Leaf into the 22nd Winter Olympics, the hope is to inspire future generations to be proud of their Canadian heritage. 10 documentary films were made with the unprecedented access to the top athletes in the country.
